Dealerware, a leading fleet management and mobility platform for automotive retailers and OEMs, today announced the appointment of Eric Cotter as Chief Product Officer and Phil Gonser as Vice President of Sales. The leadership additions further strengthen Dealerware’s team as the company enters its next phase of growth following recent investment and continued expansion across the automotive mobility ecosystem.

The appointments reflect Dealerware’s focus on accelerating innovation, scaling its platform, and expanding go-to-market execution as fleet & mobility programs become increasingly central to dealership operations.

Eric Cotter Appointed Chief Product Officer

Eric Cotter brings more than two decades of experience building and scaling automotive technology platforms, with a strong focus on high-growth SaaS. Most recently, he served as Chief Product Officer at Clarivoy, where he led the development of privacy-safe identity and attribution platforms processing more than 160 million shopping sessions and 1 billion impressions each month.

Previously, Cotter held senior product leadership roles at SpinCar (now Impel), TrueCar, and Kelley Blue Book at Cox Automotive. His career includes multiple industry firsts, including inventing the KBB Price Advisor and co-founding VINFactor, a DrivingSales Innovation Cup winner.

At Dealerware, Cotter will lead product strategy and execution as the company continues to scale its platform and expand capabilities across fleet management, mobility operations, and enterprise reporting.

Phil Gonser Named Vice President of Sales

Phil Gonser brings more than 22 years of experience in automotive retail and automotive technology, with a career focused on aligning sales strategy with customer success and scaling go-to-market execution. Prior to joining Dealerware, Gonser served as Vice President of Sales at CarNow and previously held leadership roles within West Herr Automotive Group.

In his role, Gonser will lead Dealerware’s sales organization as the company expands relationships with enterprise dealer groups and OEM partners and continues to support retailers modernizing their mobility operations.
